It’s probably more of a marketing ploy than a production-ready concept, but there’s no question that the Aston Martin Volante Vision Concept is a wonderful vehicle to look at – should it ever be produced.
Flying Aston Martin
We are talking about a flying Aston Martin, a luxury personal aircraft capable of taking off and landing vertically. It was developed in collaboration with Cranfield University, Cranfield Aerospace Solutions and Rolls-Royce with the aim of the project to explore the future of personal transportation as the world population continues to grow and megacities become reality.
Aston Martin President and CEO Dr. Andy Palmer said, “We need to look at alternative solutions to reduce congestion, reduce pollution and improve mobility. Air travel will be a critical part of the future of transportation, the Volante Vision Concept is the ultimate luxury mobility solution.”
